Payment Options

We accept Paypal or Interact E Transfer to the account of: roguecresties@gmail.com  Paypal/E Transfer enables the secure use of credit or debit cards.

Before sending payment, please contact us first to be sure the animal you want is still available.  If payment is sent for an animal that is not available, a refund will be issued immediately.

For local pick-up, cash is also accepted.

All animal sales are final.  No exchanges or refunds will be issued, except in the conditions outlined below.

Payment plans are available for purchases over $200.  Payment plans are set up over a 30-day period, during which time the animal/s will be placed “on hold” for the buyer and will not be eligible for purchase by other potential buyers.  Our 30-Day hold terms are as follows.  By sending the deposit amount, you confirm that you have read and agree to our hold terms.

30-Day Hold Terms/Winter Holds

Any available animal/s may be placed on a 30-Day Hold with receipt of a 25% non-refundable deposit of the total. Once the deposit is received, a confirmation email or text message will be sent to the buyer, and the animal/s will be officially marked as “ON HOLD”. During this hold period, we will no longer entertain offers to purchase the animal/s, even if a potential buyer offers a higher purchase price. I promise to care for them and feed them like they are still my own holbacks!

 

The remaining balance must be paid in full by 11:59PM PST on the 30th day. We do not set up scheduled payment plans. You may pay as little or as much as you like, as often or as infrequently as you like, so long as the total balance is satisfied by the end of the hold period.

As payments are received, we will send a “thank you” via email or text message to the buyer, confirming the amount received as well as the remaining balance due. Once the total balance is satisfied, the animal/s will be officially marked as “SOLD”, and shipment will be scheduled for the soonest possible date based on weather conditions & the buyer’s availability to receive the package.

If the total balance is not satisfied by 11:59PM PST on the 30th day, the animal/s will be removed from hold status & placed back on to the available page. All monies collected toward the purchase of the animal/s (minus the 25% non-refundable deposit) will be converted to store credit. Store credit has no expiration date & can be used toward the purchase of any available animal, but not toward another hold or deposit. The 25% non-refundable deposit will be retained by Rogue Cresties.  Refund is issued the same as it is received.  Payment plans are offered as a courtesy and convenience to the buyer.  The 25% non-refundable deposit covers the cost of housing and feeding the animals while on hold status and accounts for the loss of income suffered by Rogue Cresties by turning down the potential sale of the animal while it was being kept on hold.  Buyers who place an animal (or animals) on hold, and do not satisfy the balance by the end of the hold period, will not be eligible to make purchases using a payment plan with Rogue Cresties for future purchases.

In the event that the buyer does not satisfy the balance by the end of the hold period, and Rogue Cresties follows protocol as outlined above, the buyer will not use social media or any other outlet to speak negatively about Rogue Cresties for holding to these terms.  Actions such as this will result in negative reviews for the buyer on sites including, but not limited to, the Fauna Board of Inquiry, as well as a potential civil suit.  Rogue Cresties will take all necessary steps to preserve their reputation in the reptile community.  Again, payment plans are offered as a courtesy and convenience to the buyer, and Rogue Cresties shall see no harm in offering these payment plans or holding to the terms set in regards to them.

In the unlikely event that the hold animal falls ill or otherwise becomes unsuitable for purchase during the duration of the hold period, the buyer will be notified immediately, the gecko will be removed from “Hold” status, and all monies collected (including the 25% deposit) will be refunded. Tail drops are not a reason to ask for discounts or refunds. 

 

There is no extra charge for winter holds. Updates are sent at a minimum of once a month. I’m normally pretty good about sending updates but if it’s been over a month, feel free to ask. Shipping is paid about a week before shipping, which is determined by weather but I will keep you updated as it’s getting closer.

Live Arrival Guarantee

Live arrival is guaranteed, assuming the following conditions.

Temperatures must fall within the safe range.

Safe temperatures are considered between 42°F (overnight low) and 82°F (daytime high) for the entire duration of the shipment. Cryopaks will be provided in every shipment at no extra charge; we do not ship with heat packs.

Rogue Cresties will check the temperatures from the departing location and mid-way sorting facility before booking all shipments and will hold any shipments we consider unsafe. Guaranteeing proper shipping temperatures and weather in the receiving location is the responsibility of the buyer. This is to ensure weather patterns outside of daily high and low temperatures will not impact the safe arrival of the animal. Please check your forecast prior to scheduling a shipment day. If your area does not have safe shipping conditions at the time of your purchase we are happy to hold your animal(s) until a safe delivery window is reached, at no charge to you.
We will ensure proper mid-way sorting facility temperatures once a label is created and we are able to see where the package is routed.

Animals are shipped via FedEx Overnight Priority only. Live arrival is guaranteed if your order is picked up directly from a FedEx hub.

We prefer to ship to FedEx hubs ONLY. Hubs are climate-controlled facilities that will hold your package in a secure area until you arrive. This is the least stressful method of delivery, as animals avoid being out on a non-climate controlled delivery truck, they avoid potentially rough roads and careless handling by delivery men, and most importantly they are not left on a potentially hot and sunny porch until you get off of work to bring them inside. We WILL ship to residential addresses by request, but we cannot guarantee live arrival for residential deliveries due to the increased risk involved.

If the gecko arrives deceased we must get photo proof within an hour of package pickup, or delivery time.

If photographic proof is not sent within an hour of the delivery time provided by FedEx, the live arrival guarantee is void.

Safe shipping conditions are always at OUR discretion.

We may choose to not ship your animal at any time if we feel it is unsafe. (i.e. increased holiday shipping volumes, natural disasters, inclement weather etc)

We cannot be held responsible for any damages incurred on behalf of the carrier.

Including but not limited to; improper package handling, loss of package etc.

Shipping damage claims must be made with the carrier and shipping company, which we will provide any necessary information to aid in the loss claim. Following a case resolution with the shipping company, we will work with the buyer to come to a reasonable solution.

We must be provided with an accurate shipping address.

We will send your order to the shipping address you provide with your order. If this address is incorrect and the shipment is delayed as a result, the live arrival guarantee is void. 

D.O.A’s

In the very rare instant you receive an animal that has perished during shipment, we must be contacted by message or email within 1 hour of the shipment being delivered - no exceptions!

Photographic proof will be required in all cases. At our discretion, we may require the expired animal be returned to us. Once our investigation is complete, compensation will be issued in the form of either a comparable replacement animal or credit. Credit will be for the cost of the animal only; shipping costs will not count toward credit for a future animal. Cash refunds will not be given under any circumstances.
